JULIA GAULT (1991)
Graduated with the congratulations of the jury, from the National School of Decorative Arts of Paris (France) in 2016, Julia Gault is a visual artist born in 1991. Her pieces have been shown in numerous group exhibitions, notably at Jeune Création gallery in Romainville (FR) « Mais le monde est une mangrovité » 2021, at Les ateliers du vent in Rennes (FR) « L’autre loi de la jungle » 2020, at the La Piscine muséum and the PPGM in Roubaix (FR) « Nature contre nature » 2019, in Le Mur in Moret-sur-Loing (FR) « The enigma is not to know if we cut down if we build » 2019, at the Laure Roynette gallery in Paris (FR) « POROROCA » 2019, at the space Arondit (FR) « Cloture », 2019, at the Bertrand Grimont gallery in Paris (FR) « La petite collection » 2018, at the Château de Vincennes (FR) « L’or blanc », 2018, at the Valérie Delaunay gallery in Paris (FR) « Garder le Cap » 2017, at the Institut of the arab world in Paris (FR) « Le Décoratif et l'Orient » 2012.
Julia Gault has five solo exhibitions: « Ce vertige qui le tient droit » en 2016 at ENSAD in Paris (FR), « Bien que le monde se renverse » at the Crous gallery in Paris (FR) in 2017, « Onde de submersion » at the Contemporary art space Camille Lambert in Juvisy-sur-Orge (FR) in 2019, « La constance de l'eau » at the creation laboratory in Paris (FR) 2019 and « L’écoute-s’il-pleut » at the Bois Briard Farm in Evry (FR) 2020.
Her work was selected for various prizes such as the Artagon 1 prize in 2015, the Dauphine prize for contemporary art in 2016, the Convocation competition in 2017, in the 63rd Salon de Montrouge in 2018. In 2015, she was laureate of the Fénéon Artistic Prize of the Chancellery of the Universities of Paris.
In june 2021, she will be one of the artists selected for the 63rd edition of Jeune Création at the Fiminco Fondation in Romainville (FR).
