LARISA DAVID (1988)
Larisa David (Târgu Mureșq, 1988) is based between Rotterdam and Bucharest. She makes performances, installations, videos and scripts that use found sources and her own writing. The works address how power relations are produced and extend in society, affecting subjective narratives. This is an ongoing exploration where hidden or illegible moments from past and present are followed to reflect on ways of feeling and seeing that allow straying from the familiar.
She showed works at Available and the Rat (NL), At7 (NL), Stedelijk Museum (NL), De Appel (NL), Paragraph Gallery (USA), National Museum of Contemporary Art Bucharest (RO), Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Rijeka (HR), Salonul de Proiecte (RO), tranzit.ro/ Cluj (RO). She has an MFA from Piet Zwart Institute.
