Nora Goleshevska is an independent scholar in the field of Visual Studies and is currently part of Periodization in the History of Art and its Conundrum: How to tackle them in East-Central Europe (2019-22) international program at the Institute for Advanced Study-Bucharest, supported by the Getty Foundation as part of its Connecting Art Histories initiative. She holds a PhD in “Philosophy of Culture” from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and has specialized in "Visual Semiology" at the University of Bari "Aldo Moro", “Comparative Art Studies of 20-21s.” at the Sofia University and "Anthropology of the Mediterranean and the Balkans" at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome”and IEFSEM at Bulgarian Academy of Science. Her research interests and publications are in cultural history and theory, methodology of visual studies and art history, as well as contemporary Italian philosophy some of which she has been translating into Bulgarian.
